Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time High School Special Education Teacher position is available for an emotionally and behaviorally disturbed (EBD) classroom serving Grades 912. This role involves working with a caseload of approximately 15 students in a self-contained or integrated setting tailored to individual student needs. Some students may have assigned 1:1 paraprofessional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver academic and behavioral instruction aligned with individual education program (IEP) goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to meet students unique learning and behavioral needs
- Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines and structured learning environments
- Collaborate closely with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to support student growth
- Utilize positive behavior interventions and data-driven strategies to address behavioral challenges
Qualifications:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education Certification with endorsement in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
- Experience managing classrooms serving students with emotional and behavioral challenges preferred
- Strong munication and collaboration skills, particularly in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to implement individualized instructional strategies and behavioral interventions effectively
