Schedule/Hours:

  • Self-scheduling available for optimal work-life balance
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday shifts required
  • No call or standby requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive care/stepdown RN experience in hospitals of similar size and acuity
  • At least 1 prior travel contract completed successfully
  • Valid BLS certification
  • Strong PCU/telemetry skillset
  • Experience with titrating set rate drips
  • Comfortable with heart failure, sickle cell, and Med-Surg diagnoses

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver care in a 12-bed stepdown/Med-Surg unit (with 1:4-5 nurse-patient ratios)
  • Monitor and titrate drips where needed; pull your own labs—no phlebotomy duties required
  • Collaborate with charge nurses (who do participate in patient care) and nurse aides
  • Utilize Nasal, face masks, and BiPap RT equipment
  • Participate in a comprehensive unit orientation, with support from a preceptor
