Schedule/Hours:
- Self-scheduling available for optimal work-life balance
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday shifts required
- No call or standby requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of progressive care/stepdown RN experience in hospitals of similar size and acuity
- At least 1 prior travel contract completed successfully
- Valid BLS certification
- Strong PCU/telemetry skillset
- Experience with titrating set rate drips
- Comfortable with heart failure, sickle cell, and Med-Surg diagnoses
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver care in a 12-bed stepdown/Med-Surg unit (with 1:4-5 nurse-patient ratios)
- Monitor and titrate drips where needed; pull your own labs—no phlebotomy duties required
- Collaborate with charge nurses (who do participate in patient care) and nurse aides
- Utilize Nasal, face masks, and BiPap RT equipment
- Participate in a comprehensive unit orientation, with support from a preceptor
