Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed vocational nurse (LVN) is needed to provide specialized care at an elementary school in Sacramento, CA. This role supports a first-grade student requiring one-on-one nursing services due to complex medical needs. The assignment is a school nurse rotational leave covering a full-time schedule for one week from March 2nd to March 6th, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 nursing care for a female first-grade student with a tracheostomy and G-tube.
- Perform suctioning and monitor and manage seizures as needed.
- Assist the student in accessing the curriculum to support educational progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and parents.
- Be punctual and reliable; the students attendance depends on the nurses presence.
Qualifications:
- Active LVN or LPN license in California.
- Experience managing trach care, G-tube feeding, suctioning, and seizure monitoring.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Dependable with excellent time management to ensure presence during school hours.
Location: Dry Creek Elementary School, Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 1:55 PM, approximately 30.5 hours per week
Duration: Leave coverage contract, March 2nd to March 6th, 2026
