Job Summary
Cytotechnologist - Cytology Technician
Zanesville, Ohio
<ul>

$50K - $65K depending on experience
</li>
<li>
32 hours per week in a high-volume lab.
</li>
<li>
Mon-Fri, Days only. No weekends or holidays.
</li>
<li>
Eligible for full benefits, to be discussed during interview.
</li>
<li>
Equipment used includes Thin Prep processors, Thin Prep imager, Leica stainer, SoftPath 
</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>
Perform microscopic evaluation of pap smears.
</li>
<li>
Processing of Non GYN specimens and assisting on final needle aspirates
</li>
<li>
The processing and registration are typically done by support staff, but the Cytotechs cover for PTO, FMLA, call offs, or when it is needed based on volume.
</li>
<li>
Maintain detailed records of findings and laboratory results.
</li>
</ul>
 Experience/Qualifications
<ul>
<li>
ASCP Certification REQUIRED.
</li>
<li>
Experience required with GYN/non-GYN screenings &amp; fine needle procedures.
</li>
<li>
Minimum of 1 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
</li>
<li>
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and cytology software.
</li>
