Our organization is in search of a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to fill a per-diem Hospitalist role at our facility in Syracuse, New York. We offer a comprehensive array of general and specialized medical services, including both inpatient and outpatient care, along with community health education and outreach initiatives.

Position Overview:

  • Availability for 12-hour shifts, either from 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am, with options for both weekdays and weekends.
  • Responsible for delivering medical services to an average of 16-18 patients daily per Provider, in a closed ICU setting.
  • Conducts daily rounds for all patients enrolled in the Hospitalist Program.
  • Coordinates necessary follow-up care upon patient discharge from the hospital.
  • Performs history and physical examinations, with notes documented in our EPIC EMR system.
  • Collaborates with other specialists and Intensivists to effectively manage medical crises or changes in patients' conditions, ensuring timely consultations with relevant parties.
  • Operates within a well-established medical center that offers extensive subspecialty support.

Qualifications:

  • This position does not qualify for J1/H1B visa sponsorship.
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Current medical license in the state of New York.
  • Previous experience as a Hospitalist is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic hospital environment.

Recruitment Package:

  • Compensation ranges from $180 to $210 per hour, depending on shift hours, holiday coverage, and other factors.
  • The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, or other cash compensation applicable to the role. Additionally, providers generally receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with state regulations and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
