A contract physical therapist position is available in the Lower Bucks County area of Pennsylvania, supporting Extended School Year (ESY) services. This role focuses on providing physical therapy to students within a school setting during the summer session, helping to enhance their developmental progress and functional abilities.
Responsibilities include delivering center-based and itinerant physical therapy services aligned with student IEPs, collaborating with educators and related service providers, and maintaining accurate documentation. Candidate placement will be prioritized within a 35-minute commute of their residence, contingent on service needs and student assignments.
Key qualifications and requirements:
- Active Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) licensure for Physical Therapy
- Ability to commit fully to the ESY schedule, June 29 to July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday
- Reliable transportation with residence within 35 minutes of Lower Bucks County locations
- Experience working with school-aged children, including those with moderate to severe needs and behavioral challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
- Understanding of credentialing timelines and compliance with agency policies
- Ability to work varied hours (12-24 per week) depending on assignment, typically 8:45 am to 2:45 pm
- Candidates must be able to provide a supervisor reference and submit a resume outlining relevant experience
