Role: Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer/ Echo and Vascular Technologist
Schedule: Monday-Friday, dayshift, no weekends!
Job Overview
The Echo/Vascular Technologist performs both echocardiography and vascular duplex ultrasound examinations under the guidance of a cardiologist and medical director. This role requires technical proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment, interpreting preliminary results, and providing high-quality patient care in a cardiology setting
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Performroutine and complex echocardiography(trans-thoracic, stress, contrast echocardiograms) andvascular duplex ultrasound(peripheral venous/arterial, extracranial cerebrovascular, visceral/renal vascular)
- Conductpreliminary interpretationof studies, noting abnormal pathology and notifying physicians of life-threatening or relevant findings
- Operate and maintain echocardiography and vascular ultrasound equipment, including calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and position them appropriately
- Document patient information, test results, and final reports in the EMR; handle clerical duties such as study preparation, logging, archiving, and charge entry
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical staff, reviewing procedures as needed
- Travel to alternate locations as required to meet patient care needs
- Demonstrate empathy, accountability, and professionalism in patient interactions
- Maintain equipment and work areas for operational and safety compliance

Typical Education & Certification
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or related field
- ARRT (RDCS/RVT) or equivalent certification preferred
- BLS/ACLS certification recommended
