Pay Rate: $58
Shifts Available (Please indicate preference when applying):
- OVN Shift 1: 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM (5 days/week with rotating weekends)
- OVN Shift 2: Fluctuates between 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM and 8:30 PM – 2:00 AM (5 days/week with rotating weekends)
Polaris Pharmacy Services is seeking two IV Pharmacists to support our growing infusion pharmacy team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves active monitoring of infusion therapy patients, clinical oversight, and collaborative care coordination with healthcare professionals across multiple care settings. While IV/Infusion experience is highly preferred, it is not required. Candidates will always be working alongside another pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, sterile compounding standards, and internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate IV documentation and provide clinical monitoring.
- Perform IV order processing when technical support is unavailable.
- Conduct dose calculations and program infusion pumps.
- Respond to drug interaction, allergy, and therapy inquiries.
- Orient and assess competency of rotating pharmacists and IV technicians.
- Coordinate care with consulting pharmacists, nursing facilities, and other providers.
- Stay current with infusion therapies, equipment, and best practices.
- Participate in on-call duties and continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing (NC or applicable state)
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or higher
- IV/Infusion experience
