Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrists during eye examinations and procedures.
- Perform preliminary tests, including visual acuity and tonometry.
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation.
- Educate patients on lens options, eyewear care, and eye health.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment.
- Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Support inventory management and ordering of optical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the clinic.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in optometry preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience as an optometric technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of optical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
