Westland, MI – In-Studio & On-Site with PodLab Studios & BuzzWire Media
Starting at $18–$22/hour (Based on Experience)

About the Role

We’re looking for a driven, reliable, and creatively sharp videographer to join our growing production team. If you know your way around a camera, can edit clean content with Adobe Premiere, and understand what makes social content hit—this is for you.

This is an on-site, part-time role (with full-time potential) at PodLab Studios and BuzzWire Media. You’ll help shoot and edit podcast content, build reels and promos for social media, and assist during client production days—both in the studio and occasionally out in the field.

This is a hands-on role. If you’re flaky, disorganized, or struggle with deadlines, this won’t be the right fit. But if you’re hungry, skilled, and want to grow with a creative studio that’s making noise in Metro Detroit—we want to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Video Editing & Post-Production

• Editing short-form and long-form content in Adobe Premiere (After Effects = big bonus)

• Creating podcast reels, interview edits, branded promos, and YouTube content

• Editing for both vertical (9:16) and horizontal (16:9) formats

• Adding captions, sound design, motion graphics, and basic color grading

• Meeting tight deadlines for raw footage and final edits

️ Studio Production Support

• Setting up podcast sets (lighting, mics, backdrops, etc.)

• Assisting clients during recording sessions or livestreams

• Helping maintain clean, organized studio spaces and equipment

• Occasionally assisting with on-site shoots for client video projects

Social Media + Scheduling (Bonus Skills)

• Creating engaging reels, short edits, or ad-style videos

• Familiarity with Later, Hootsuite, Buffer, or other scheduling platforms is a plus

• Understanding what works visually on IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.

• Writing short captions or adding relevant text overlays/callouts to content

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a big plus)

• Experience editing content for social media and modern platforms

• Comfort behind AND around a camera (including studio lighting, audio, etc.)

• Organized, responsible, and able to manage deadlines without hand-holding

• Familiarity with vertical vs horizontal formats, captions, and social engagement

• Hungry to grow, take initiative, and be part of something bigger

• Reliable transportation and ability to work in-person in Westland

• Bonus: Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or Lightroom

Compensation:
