Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available in an elementary school setting in the Virginia Beach, VA area. This contract role corresponds to the normal school year and involves supporting students with a range of behavioral challenges, from functional behaviors to inclusion environments. The program emphasizes a collaborative, team-oriented approach with ample support staff to help ensure student success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech and language therapy services tailored to students' individual needs
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans
- Working closely with students exhibiting severe behavior disorders in both functional and inclusive settings
- Maintaining documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC)
- Experience in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
- License to practice as an SLP in Virginia, or pending licensure effective by August
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
