General Construction Laborer

Job DescriptionSalary: $20 Hr

Job Summary:

The Construction Laborerwillperform a wide range of physical labor tasksin support of workerson the construction site.

Requirements:Must be a HUD Section 3 qualified resident.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assistsskilled workers as assigned. This may include jobs such as demolition, carrying lumber, or construction.

• Unloads materials that are delivered such as lumber or bags ofcement, anddistributes them toappropriatelocation as identified bysupervisor,project plans,or specifications.

• Prepares layout area where construction will take place byproperly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.

• Prepares tools and materials for skilled workers such asmixingcement orpreparingflooringfor installation.

• Cleans and prepares specific areas ofjobsiteas assigned.This may include diggingtrenches;erectingscaffolding;cleaningup rubble, debris, and trash;orremovinghazardous materials.

• Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.

• Directstraffic near, in, or around work zones.

• Motionsequipment operator toassistwith alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.

• Cleans jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment areproperly stored.

• Performsother related duties as assigned.
