A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care, located in the beautiful Volcano, HI area. This contract position offers the chance to work in a dynamic 28-bed emergency department known for its fast-paced and team-oriented atmosphere. The unit includes 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms, providing a varied and engaging clinical experience.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active RN license in Hawaii (required by start date)
- Previous emergency room nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility and readiness to cover night shifts
Schedule & Contract Details:
- Contract length: 15 weeks
- Night shift schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours weekly) after initial orientation
- Orientation week included
- Must arrive the Thursday before assignment start date for an employee health appointment on Friday
- No guaranteed hours; schedule requires flexibility
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with a variety of acute and trauma-related conditions
- Monitor and manage patients in cardiac, trauma, and behavioral health settings within the ER
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and rapid turnover
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility policies and protocols
