O & G Tax and Accounting Services LLC is hiring a full-time, on-site Tax Preparer / CPA Associate (EA or CPA preferred) to work directly with the firm owner and grow into a key leadership role. This is a hands-on position for someone who is energetic, highly motivated, eager to learn, and ready to take ownership of client work and firm operations over time.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns accurately and on time
• Organize and analyze client documents, financials, and workpapers
• Identify deductions/credits and support basic tax planning recommendations
• Communicate with clients by phone, email, and in person to gather information and explain results
• Assist with IRS/state notices and tax correspondence (gather documents, draft responses, follow up)
• Maintain clean, organized client files and internal systems
• Support basic accounting work as needed (bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reports)
• Help manage deadlines and special projects—acting as the owner’s right-hand during busy seasons

What We’re Looking For

• EA or CPA strongly preferred (actively pursuing considered)
• Active PTIN (or ability to obtain immediately)
• 1–3+ years of tax preparation experience preferred (public accounting or tax firm ideal)
• Familiarity with Forms 1040 and business returns (1065/1120S/1120 a plus)
• Proficiency with tax software and Excel (QuickBooks is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
• Self-starter mindset: dependable, proactive, and willing to learn quickly

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, on-site at our office
• Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends during peak tax season (Jan–Apr)
