Job Description

Job DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a small k-12 caseload in a center-based DCD/ASD classroom for the 2026-27 school year. This role focuses on delivering individualized academic, behavioral, and functional instruction in a highly supportive, collaborative environment with paraprofessional assistance.

Position Details

  • Week days only
  • Start date: August 2026- June 4, 2027
  • Pay $45-$55.00 depending on experience (paid every Friday)

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction for students with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with student goals.
  • Collect and analyze progress data to inform instruction and interventions.
  • Implement structured behavioral supports and classroom management strategies.
  • collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
  • Support students' communication, social-emotional, and functional skill development.
  • Maintain compliance with special education processes and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Active Minnesota Special Education teaching license
  • Preferred licensure in ASD, DCD, ABS, or cross-categorical special education.
  • Experience supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Strong IEP development, data collection, and progress monitoring skills.
  • Ability to implement behavior supports and structured classroom environments.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in a center-based autism of DCD classroom
  • Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Knowledge of sensory regulation strategies
  • Experience teaching functional and life skills
