Role Overview
The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards. This role partners closely with the Administrator and corporate clinical leadership to develop systems, strengthen nursing operations, and support staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily clinical operations of the nursing department
- Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and regulatory requirements
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcomes
- Partner with interdisciplinary teams to support resident care planning
- Monitor documentation, clinical systems, and regulatory readiness
- Address resident and family concerns while promoting resident rights and dignity
Ideal Candidate
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Florida license
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care leadership
- Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey readiness
- Proven leadership ability in staff development and clinical operations
