An onsite Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available in Fortson, GA, supporting a local school district near Columbus, GA. This full-time contract position runs from ASAP through May 21, 2026, offering 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day). The role involves working directly with students to provide therapeutic interventions tailored to their individual needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering occupational therapy services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Managing and documenting caseloads based on district assignments and candidate experience
- Adhering to all relevant regulations and standards for school-based occupational therapy
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Minimum of one year clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) with school-based experience are encouraged to apply and will be given priority
- Ability to work onsite exclusively within the districts designated school locations
