Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with proficiency in telemetry monitoring
- Experienced in managing cardiac step-down patients, including med/surg tele and stroke overflow cases
- Skilled in advanced procedures such as thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis (PD), tracheostomies, pacemaker care, cardiac catheterization support, and CIWA assessments
- Certifications required include Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to follow professional dress code and hospital policies consistently

Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care for cardiac step-down patients, maintaining a patient ratio of approximately 5:1
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including Clinical Nurse Coordinators, Licensed Nursing Assistants, and Unit Clerks
- Utilize Meditech Expanse for precise and efficient patient documentation
- Conduct bedside shift rounds and ensure thorough patient handoff communication
- Operate and manage advanced medical equipment such as IV pumps, high-flow oxygen devices, BiPAP machines, and Kangaroo pumps
- Adhere to unit-specific policies and protocols to maintain exceptional patient care standards
This contract assignment typically involves working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus every other weekend, with scheduling options to promote work-life balance.
