Clinical Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is up to $63-$68 per hour
- Benefits are available to full‐time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available to full‐time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Clinical Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Required availability: Monday–Friday day shift with flexibility for evenings, weekends, or holidays as business needs arise
Clinical Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Implement direct patient‐care programs (Medication Therapy Management, immunizations, payer/pharma adherence and other clinical initiatives)
- Conduct data and clinical reviews to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of therapy; document interventions and outcomes
- Submit prior authorizations and follow up with payers to secure determinations pre‐service
- Provide individualized patient and provider consultations on drug therapy, dosing, and plan benefits
- Review patient profiles to verify proper, safe drug therapy and regulatory compliance
- Drive continuous quality improvement by monitoring results, identifying process gaps, and recommending changes
- Support regional financial performance by aligning clinical programs with organizational targets
- Train and mentor pharmacy staff; promote teamwork and adherence to company policies, SOPs, and quality standards
- Maintain full compliance with HIPAA, FDA, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
Clinical Pharmacist Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD and at least 1 year of retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy (or eligible for reciprocal licensure)
- Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, manage confidential data, and resolve complex patient issues
- Proficiency with payer portals, insurance benefit verification, and prior authorization processes
- Strong time‐management, organizational, and communication skills; able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Willingness to work non‐standard hours as needed (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- High School Diploma or GED (required per client policy)
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of pharmacy experience with heavy emphasis on clinical programs or MTM
- Experience leading quality or continuous‐improvement initiatives in a retail or health‐system setting
- Previous experience overseeing pharmacy financial performance or customer‐retention programs
