Job Title: Registered Nurse – Outpatient Clinic
Location: Ithaca, NY 14850
Schedule: Rotating Shifts (Days/Nights/Weekends), 5 Days/Week – 40 Hours
Employment Type: Contract

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Clinic is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves conducting assessments, administering treatments, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patient health and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain 24-hour accountability for quality patient care

Perform physical and mental health assessments, including vital signs and risk evaluations
-
Conduct withdrawal assessments (COWS) as required by regulations
-
Administer and monitor treatment plans and prescribed medications
-
Observe, document, and report behavioral and clinical changes
-
Maintain proper control and documentation of medications and substances
-
Triage emergent medical issues and coordinate care with providers and clinical staff
-
Accurately document all patient care activities in a timely manner
-
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing staff, providers, and leadership

Ensure compliance with OASAS and Medicaid regulations
-
Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives

Respect and support patients’ cultural and religious practices
-
Perform additional duties as assigned based on clinical needs
Required Qualifications
-
Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s preferred)

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (State-specific)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
-
Completion of CPI training within 3 months of hire

Successful completion of medication competency exam
