Job DescriptionPosition Description:
This is a full-time in-person position, Monday – Friday, 9 am-5 pm. Pay scale is $17-$19 per hour based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
We seek a team player who is comfortable adapting to our ever-changing needs and willing to take on new challenges. Required skills – Ability to answer phones, greet visitors in a welcoming way, have good communication skills, and pay attention to details.Core Responsibilities:
· Greet and assist members, prospective members, and guests
· Professionally answer phone calls
· Support of the daily operations of the synagogue. This includes a wide range of tasks, including database management and other office duties.· Ability to work with and support our congregants, volunteers, teachers, staff, and students.Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Needed to Perform the Job
· Power user of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Drive.
· Experience using a variety of databases and the ability to learn new systems.
· Initiative, sound judgment, and ability to respond resourcefully in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.· Attention to the accuracy and visual presentation of printed and electronic documents.
· Ability to interact and effectively communicate and take detailed messages if needed.
· Maintain confidentiality.Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of office experience.
· Comfortable working with volunteers, teachers, students, and guests.
