Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating forklift
- Setting up and preparing machinery for production run
- Ensuring product quality by performing inspection and monitoring process.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area and perform routing cleanup duties within shop
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Crane, Hoist, and forklift operation.
- Experience with Industrial Machinery, including Band Saw, Plasma and Flame CNC Cutting, Blanchard Grinding, and other steel processing Equipment
- Ability to always operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to accurately use measuring instruments and perform basic math operations
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic mechanical aptitude and preventive maintenance skills
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must demonstrate prior evidence of a commitment to safety
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Light to Heavy Lifting. Must be able to lift 55 lbs. to pick up bed height on a regular basis. Must be able to stand, sit, grip, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk for extended periods.
