Estimating Manager - Commercial Doors - Remote (Must have Commercial Door Experience)
Position Overview
The Estimating Manager for Commercial Doors will lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial door projects. This role is essential for maintaining competitive pricing and ensuring the profitability of projects while meeting client specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the estimating team to ensure high-quality and timely estimates are produced for all commercial door projects.
- Review project specifications and drawings to identify key project requirements and ensure accurate cost estimation.
- Utilize Comsense software for estimating and project management, ensuring all data is accurately input and maintained.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients to clarify project details and scope of work.
- Develop and maintain a database of pricing for materials and labor, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
- Provide training and support for team members in estimating procedures and software use.
- Conduct regular reviews of estimates to identify areas for improvement and ensure best practices are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in estimating, specifically with commercial doors and Division 8 products.
- Strong knowledge of estimating software, particularly Comsense.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
