Pay Rate: $50.00 - $59.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Primarily Days (Flexibility Required)
Schedule: 36–40 Hours Weekly
Weekend Requirement: As Needed
On-Call: None
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations in inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and teaching hospital settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and experience working in a high-volume imaging environment.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum one (1) year of Ultrasound Technologist experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• RDMS (AB) – Abdomen Certification.
• RDMS (OB) – Obstetrics/Gynecology Certification.
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) Certification.
• Experience performing inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department ultrasound examinations.
• Experience in teaching hospital and community hospital environments.
• PACS experience.
• Portable ultrasound experience.
• Experience assisting with ultrasound-guided biopsy procedures.
• Epic documentation experience.
• Philips ultrasound equipment experience.
• Strong communication, patient care, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous travel assignment experience.
• Experience working in high-volume imaging departments.
Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and general imaging studies.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
• Conduct portable ultrasound procedures throughout the facility.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided biopsy procedures.
• Review physician orders and patient histories prior to examinations.
• Operate Philips ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently.
• Document procedures accurately using Epic and PACS systems.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout examinations.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain compliance with departmental protocols, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
