Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently recruiting for a Medical Assistant in Kissimmee, FL. This is an on-site opportunity. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Pay: $23 to $24.30 per hour based on experience
Type: 2.5 -month contract, with opportunity for extension
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-5p

License Required: Yes - must be a Certified Medical Assistant

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patient for examination
2. Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
3. Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
4. Respects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect.
5. Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stock and clean rooms and sterilizes instruments.
6. Practices standard infection control precautions
7. Telephone and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge
8. Provide data reporting and tracking on HEDIS Measures
9. Experience in referral authorizations, DME's requests for patients

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or GED equivalent
2. Medical Assistant Certificate
3. Computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
4. Knowledge of medical terminology required
5. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required
6. 1-2 years of customer service experience
7. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding

Pay Details: $23.00 to $24.30 per hour
