Full-Time Teller
West Branch Valley FCU has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Teller. We are seeking a team member who will provide an exceptional level of service to our members and associates. A typical day involves, processing teller transactions accurately and timely, referring Credit Union products and services to members based on needs, maximizing profitable relationship. Verifying and balancing assigned cash drawer with minimal cash variances. Reconciling any errors or discrepancies for assigned cash drawer. Prior experience as a teller or retail cashier is requested, working knowledge of Windows is a plus. Candidate must be available to work flexible hours. Saturdays are required (08:30-12:00).
Responsibilities:
- Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Issue negotiable items such as money orders, cashier’s checks, and traveler’s checks.
- Provide members with account information, including balances, transaction history, and account inquiries.
- Assist members with opening new accounts, closing accounts, or routing them to appropriate credit union services.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment.
- Effective communication skills.
- Pleasant personality.
- Proper business etiquette is a must.
- Ability to work comfortably and successfully with the public in a frequently stressful setting.
- A team player, work independently, and be self-motivate.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Previous teller experience or equivalent work experience will train if we feel a candidate has potential for this position.
