A full-time paraprofessional position is available to support a student with special education needs in a school setting located in Coraopolis, PA. This contract role offers approximately 30 hours per week, including one 15-minute paid break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The assignment starts immediately and runs through June 5, 2026.
Responsibilities include providing one-on-one support to a pediatric student, assisting with academic and behavioral interventions, and collaborating with classroom teachers and special education staff across grades K-12 (with a focus on grades 6-12). The role requires adapting instructional materials to meet student needs and promoting a positive learning environment tailored to the student’s unique goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, or 1:1 educational aide
- Background supporting pediatric students in special education settings
- Familiarity working with students in grades K-5 through 9-12
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within school teams
