This full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is based in an elementary school setting near Virginia Beach, VA. The role is designed for a dedicated professional with strong pediatric and school-based SLP experience, working with a diverse student population that includes children with severe behavioral disorders. The students may range from functional communication levels to inclusion settings, allowing for varied and impactful therapeutic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate within a team-oriented environment alongside support staff and educators.
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of students with behavioral challenges.
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with program requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student success plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with a current Virginia license or pending licensure active by August.
- Experience working with pediatric populations within school settings.
- Familiarity with supporting students exhibiting severe behavior disorders is strongly preferred.
- Ability to function effectively in both functional and inclusive classroom environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for team-based care.
Location and Duration:

- Contract role for the full academic school year (NSY).
