Position Overview
Arminco is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Designer who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and executing the technical and creative aspects of projects from concept through construction.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and design staff to deliver exceptional design solutions while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute across all project phases: conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, specifications, construction administration, and FF&E
- Develop and present design concepts aligned with client goals and requirements
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources
- Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, and contractors
- Conduct quality control reviews and resolve complex design/technical issues
- Apply knowledge of IBC, ADA, and FHA codes to detailed construction documents
- Maintain and build strong client relationships
- Select materials, finishes, and oversee project aesthetics
- Mentor and guide junior team members
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and site visits
- Coordinate with dental equipment specialists, millworkers, and IT vendors
- Lead project photoshoots and contribute to marketing/design efforts
- Attend trade shows and represent the company as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (required)
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional design experience
- Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of building codes (IBC, ADA, FHA)
- Excellent graphic presentation and design communication skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of local county/city regulations (preferred)
- Ability to travel as needed
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Strong verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings
- Ability to sit or stand for long durations
- Occasional extended hours and travel may be required
- Ability to lift 15–20 lbs
