Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating clear and accurate interpretation between American Sign Language (ASL) and English during classroom instruction and school activities
• Supporting students communication needs in various settings, including classrooms, meetings, and events
• Collaborating with teachers, educational staff, and families to promote an inclusive learning environment
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethical standards
• Occasional travel between school locations to provide interpreting services as needed

Desired qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language and English interpretation
• Experience working in educational settings is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication strategies
• Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing schedules
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism

Location: Based in Greenacres, WA, with some travel required between schools for service coverage.
