About Us
SOS Plumbing & Heating is a small, family-owned plumbing and heating company serving Rhode Island. We currently operate three trucks and are continuing to grow as we head into the heating season.
We are looking for a reliable, licensed Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter, or Master-level tradesperson to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong plumbing, heating, and boiler knowledge who wants to grow with a fast-expanding local company.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will perform plumbing and heating work in residential and light commercial settings, including but not limited to:
- Assemble, install, alter, and repair piping systems for water, steam, air, gas, and heating applications
- Install, service, and troubleshoot boilers, hydronic heating systems, and related mechanical controls
- Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and applicable plumbing/mechanical codes
- Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair piping systems and related equipment
- Maintain accurate job records, notes, and documentation
- Lead, train, and assist apprentices or helpers as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and management
Requirements
- Valid Rhode Island Journeyman Plumber, Pipefitter, or Master license required
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred
- Clean driving record; DMV/RMV check required
- Background check required
- Boiler and hydronic heating experience strongly preferred
- Must be reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to follow company procedures, job notes, and safety standards

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional on-call work as needed.
