Sales Engineer – SlowStop® Protective Guarding Systems


Impact Recovery is seeking a Sales Engineer - SlowStop® Protective Guarding
Systems, located in the Western US, who possesses strong technical expertise and an ability
to drive sales. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing customer needs, proposing
engineered solutions, and leading the sales process for industrial and commercial safeguarding
products. Your unique blend of technical knowledge and consultative selling skills will play a key
role in helping clients protect their people, property, and equipment.


Responsibilities

1. Technical Sales & Consultation
- Identify customer requirements through site assessments, analyzing facility
layouts, and evaluating equipment safety needs.
- Translate technical specifications into tailored protective guarding solutions that
meet or exceed OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant safety standards.
- Deliver in-depth product demonstrations, presentations, and technical proposals
that illustrate system features and ROI.


2. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients throughout
the sales cycle.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries, ensuring prompt and
accurate responses to customer concerns.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, customer
support) to ensure a successful solution.


3. Market Expansion & Lead Generation
- Proactively identify new sales opportunities in target industries such as
manufacturing, warehousing, cold storage, and logistics.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote
company offerings, gain market insights, and drive lead generation.
- Provide competitive analysis and feedback on market trends to help refine
product strategies and identify future growth areas.

4. Project Coordination & Technical Support
- Work closely with design engineers to confirm technical feasibility of proposed
solutions and ensure accurate project scoping.
- Coordinate with project managers to facilitate smooth installation and
implementation of systems at customer sites.
- Offer hands-on technical support during installation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting, as necessary


5. Sales Reporting & Targets
- Use Salesforce tools to track leads, manage customer interactions, and maintain
accurate sales forecasts.
- Achieve or surpass individual and team sales targets, consistently monitoring
progress and implementing strategies for growth.
- Prepare regular sales performance and activity reports for management review.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related
field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably with safeguarding
equipment, industrial safety, or facility protection.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge
- Familiarity with protective guarding components (e.g., barriers, fencing, bollards)
and other devices.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and other industrial safety guidelines and
regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.


Sales & Communication Skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical capacity.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
communicate complex technical information effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with proficiency using
Salesforce or other CRM software.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAD or other design software for product customization.
- Industry certifications in safety or security.
- Willingness to travel (up to 65%) for client visits and industry events.
- Located in the Western US near major airport.
