Leisure World of Maryland – Summer 2026 Internship Program (Part-Time, Flexible Schedule)

Leisure World of Maryland is excited to offer a Summer 2026 Internship Program for motivated individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience across key departments within our community.

Program Overview:
This internship provides valuable exposure to real-world projects, mentorship, and professional development opportunities in a collaborative environment. Interns will contribute to meaningful work while learning from experienced team members.

Departments Available & Preferred Qualifications:

  • Property Management
    Proficiency in Excel, Word, and OneDrive required; ability to learn systems such as Yardi, BuildingLink, or similar platforms. Accounting background preferred.
  • Risk Management
    Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 (M365) Suite or Google Workspace (or similar platforms) preferred.
  • Accounting
    Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ability to learn systems such as Yardi.
  • Customer Service (PPD)
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) required; experience with work order systems preferred.
  • Human Resources (HR)
    Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Information Technology (IT)
    Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Communications
    Photography and videography skills required.

Schedule:

  • Part-time (up to 30 hours per week)
  • Flexible scheduling available
  • Program runs during Summer 2026 beginning Jun 1, 2026.

Compensation:

  • $20 per hour

General Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently attending college or a recent graduate preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Interest in working in a community-focused environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with department-specific projects and daily operations
  • Support team initiatives and administrative tasks
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities
  • Maintain professionalism and meet assigned deadlines
