Join a caring team and make a daily impact. Safely transport individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to and from our day habilitation and after-school programs in Brooklyn.
What You’ll Do
-
Safely operate a passenger van on scheduled routes to transport adults and youth with disabilities to and from day programs, after-school programs, and community locations.

Perform safe passenger assistance, including operating wheelchair lifts (if applicable), and oversee boarding/alighting with care and respect.

Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the van.

Follow all state, local, and agency safety procedures, traffic laws, and complete required route documentation.

Communicate professionally with dispatch, program staff, families, and passengers.
What You’ll Bring

Valid standard driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); no CDL required.

Punctual, patient, and safety-focused with strong interpersonal skills and empathy.

Ability to physically assist passengers as needed, manage routes efficiently, and maintain a calm, welcoming environment.
