Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week scheduling requirement
\n• Alternating weekend schedule
\n• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
\n• 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit with RNs only staffing model (no HUC or PCT)
\n• Required to float to all areas
\n• Work with advanced equipment including vents, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment
\n• Use Cerner documentation system
\n• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, paralytics, ventilators, trachs, and telemetry interpretation
\n• Required understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
\n• Participate in procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
\n• Desirable advanced skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
\n• ICU experience required
\n• CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated but not required
\n• Dress code requires all navy or navy and white scrubs (no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work)
