The (CERTIFIED) CMA position performs tasks in efficient patient care, medical charting and coding, patient care,
customer service, and possess a passion for working with children. Duties include basic medical
care, lab work, and updating medical charts, follow-up calls, answering client/referral/pharmacy calls
under direction of Physician/Nurse Practitioner.
The Certified Medical Assistant role is an essential function in our offices. The position will rotate
shifts to fill time slots from hours of 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM Monday thru Sunday. Full-Time position is
eligible for Medical Insurance benefit package, PTO, Sick-Time, and Paid Holidays after 90-Days of
employment.
Education/Experience
• Certified Medical Assistant – Nationally Certified
• Preferred 1-year experience with Pediatrics, Family Practice, GRITS and VCF
• Minimum 1-year CMA experience
• Must have or obtain PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification within 90-Days
• Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation

Key Responsibilities:
• Under supervision perform basic (i.e. – identifies the patient’s chief complaint, takes vital
signs, height, weight etc.), and ensures smooth patient flow through the office.
• Inputs and Updates medical records accurately, correct form and WCC visits are registered,
and ensuring codes are correct.
• Communicates well with other staff members and is a team player.
• Makes every effort to ensure that ill patients are comfortable until seen by a Physician or
Nurse Practitioner.
• Initiates actions on any assignments given by nurses and physicians.
• Perform labs efficiently and all assigned specimens are labeled correctly.
• Assists nurses in health care activities.
• Assists with stocking the examining room and special treatment rooms with needed supplies
daily.
• Performs other necessary duties as required by the Business Manager, Chief Clinician, or
others to meet the goal of providing primary health services at ZÖe Pediatrics.
• Participates in all required audits.
• Responsible for assessing the patient lobby to ensure patients are not waiting too long.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement activities for ZÖe and performs duties in accordance
with applicable Federal and State standards.

Physical Requirements
• Frequent mobility, standing and/or sitting for extended period of time
• Frequent bending and stooping required
• Requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. of boxes of paper
