Industrial Welding Technician -- Blueprint & 6S Focus

Job DescriptionAre you the technician everyone trusts when tolerances get tight?
If you can read a complex blueprint, position heavy parts with an overhead crane, and lay down clean welds in any position, we want your skill on our line. This role blends craftsmanship, safety, and consistency to turn parts, subassemblies, and final products into reality.

- Comfort passing and maintaining certification through the Welder Qualification Test?
- Fluent in blueprint reading and following detailed written and verbal instructions?
- Accurate with measuring tools to confirm every spec before and after the weld?
- Skilled at operating overhead cranes to position and secure parts?
- Ready to fine-tune machine settings for proper weld configurations?
- Experienced heating, forming, and welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions?
- Able to assemble and weld metal components with precision, then finish by cleaning welds using grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns?
- Committed to safety, cleanliness, and 6S—with the focus to meet exacting quality standards?
- Flexible to cross-train across production areas and contribute both independently and on a team?
- Prepared to maintain regular and reliable attendance?
Must-haves
- Ability to wear a standard welding helmet for extended periods.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
- Regular, reliable, in-person, on-site attendance.
Nice-to-haves
- Welding certification from an accredited institution.
- 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
Where you’ll work and physical demands
- Manufacturing/production floor with possible exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, and temperature fluctuations.
- Standing for extended periods; repetitive motions; lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained; bending, kneeling, climbing; operating tools and equipment.
- Use required PPE at all times.
- Visual and auditory acuity needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication.
