This role follows an onsite model to accommodate business needs while maintaining team collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze food safety testing products using microbiological techniques, ensuring accurate and reliable data.
  • Record daily experimental results and provide a summary of results to senior team members for review.
  • Support existing product continuous improvement for multiple top-priority projects.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve experimentation problems as needed.
  • Maintain industry and technology awareness related to microbiological sample collection and analysis.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run and analyze experiments using scientific methods to validate product changes.
  • Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale manufacturing experiments.
  • Provide technical information for creating product standards and specifications.
  • Maintain calibrated test equipment.
  • Record tests and analyses and report the results.
  • Discuss and answer any questions regarding results.
  • Prepare all reagents necessary for experimentation.
  • Maintain the laboratory in a clean and safe manner.
  • Manage documentation of experimental data/observations in technical notebooks or electronic files.
  • Execute and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to meet current cGMP / ISO / or other regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience in microbiological techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
