Seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Mental Health Therapist to build a mental health practice supporting the community of Hampstead and our patients at Hampstead Internal Medicine and Hampstead Therapy and Wellness. We currently have one therapist and this position will be to grow our therapy practice with a second therapist. We use the Collaborative Care Model with therapy embedded in a primary care internal medicine practice. On average, our therapists can expect to have 15-20 clinical sessions/week. We expect the majority of sessions will be in our office, though we also support work from home and flexible scheduling, as long as all patients are well taken care of. We plan to grow quickly into this full time second therapist position by January 2026.
This is an opportunity to build your own successful practice with a built in referral base and our assistance with billing, benefits, and practice management. We believe that mental health is an important part of primary care and are seeking a Psychologist or Licensed Mental Health Therapist to help lead an integrated program to provide mental health services. If needed, on site physician support and psychiatric consultation is available. Excellent evidence based patient care is the #1 requirement.
Masters/ Ph.D/PsyD / Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner level training required. License in LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, LCSW-A, LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist is required. Part time start at $45/hour for 6 weeks, followed by transition to full time which pays $80k/year base with bonus potential up to $120k/year.
Responsibilities
- Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders using standardized tools (PHQ-9, GAD-7).
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnosis, and treatment to adult individuals.
- Provide brief behavioral interventions using evidence-based techniques such as behavioral activation, problem-solving treatment, motivational interviewing, or other treatments as appropriate.
- Track patient follow up and clinical outcomes using the AIMS registry.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including crisis intervention when necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and support.
Skills
- Strong background in behavioral health practices.
- Knowledge of adult and geriatric psychological issues.
- Expertise in treatment of ADHD.
- Expertise in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.
- Expertise in the treatment of substance abuse issues.
- Ability to provide clinical counseling with empathy and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.
