Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will handle patient registration and ensure accurate insurance verification and authorizations while providing exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for individuals with healthcare registration experience and strong knowledge of insurance processes.
Responsibilities:
• Register and pre-register patients, ensuring all required information is accurately captured.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations to confirm coverage.
• Review and validate patient demographics for accuracy and completeness.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and other patient liabilities with attention to detail.
• Provide clear explanations of hospital policies, patient financial obligations, and rights.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
• Utilize computer systems, including Microsoft Excel, to maintain and manage patient records.
• Schedule patient appointments and answer billing-related questions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and healthcare regulations.• Minimum of two years of experience in healthcare registration or a similar role.
• Proficiency in insurance verification, authorizations, and billing processes.
• Familiarity with various payers, including commercial, Medicare, and Medi-Cal.
• Strong typing skills, with a minimum speed of 45 words per minute and proficiency in 10-key by touch.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to handle patient interactions.
• Competence in using Microsoft Excel and other computer systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Ability to pass required screenings, including physical exams, drug tests, and immunization checks.
