Inside Sales Representative – IT Services
We are looking for a driven and proactive Inside Sales Representative to help grow our company by identifying, nurturing, and qualifying new business opportunities for our IT services offerings. This individual will play a critical role in expanding our customer base by conducting targeted research, cold calling, and outreach using platforms such as Google, LinkedIn, industry databases, and purchased prospect lists. The ideal candidate is energetic, confident on the phone, and skilled at opening conversations that lead to meaningful sales opportunities.
This is a contract to hire position with a 90-day trial period.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Identification
- Research and identify potential customers who would benefit from our IT services, including managed services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and professional services.
- Use Google, LinkedIn, industry directories, and purchased lists to build accurate and targeted prospect lists.
- Identify key decision-makers such as CIOs, IT directors, business owners, and operations leaders.
- Develop a strong understanding of our ideal client profiles and market segments.
Outbound Outreach & Lead Qualification
- Conduct high-volume cold calling, emailing, and social outreach to engage prospects and generate interest in our IT service offerings.
- Ask discovery questions to understand prospects’ IT challenges, current environments, and potential needs.
- Qualify opportunities based on established criteria and schedule meetings or consultations for the senior sales team.
- Maintain a professional, confident, and consultative communication style.
Pipeline Management
- Log all activities, conversations, and lead information into the CRM system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Follow up consistently to ensure prospects move through the qualification process.
- Work closely with the sales team to transition qualified leads and support ongoing pipeline growth.
Market Knowledge & Collaboration
- Become familiar with our IT services portfolio, including value propositions, service differentiators, and competitive landscape.
- Stay informed about industry trends, cybersecurity risks, cloud technologies, and common IT challenges faced by businesses.
- Provide feedback to sales leadership and marketing regarding prospect responses, lead quality, and outreach effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of inside sales, lead generation, or business development experience (IT services industry experience strongly preferred).
- Strong research skills and proficiency using Google, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and CRM systems.
- Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and cold outreach.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional phone presence.
- Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts (training provided).
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple leads and tasks simultaneously.
- Motivated initiative-taker with a strong desire to grow professionally and contribute to company expansion.
