Lake Mohawk Golf Club in Sparta, 471 is looking for part time and full time dish washers to join our 96 person strong team. We are located on 471 West Shore Trail. Our ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work well as part of a team. Job Description:
As a dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen and ensuring the efficient operation of our restaurant. Your primary responsibilities will include washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area. Your attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to upholding food safety standards will contribute to the smooth functioning of our kitchen operations.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic, demonstrating consistency and reliability in fulfilling job responsibilities and adhering to assigned work schedules.
- Physical Stamina: Physical stamina and endurance to handle the demands of continuous dishwashing, including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure that dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored according to established procedures.
- Efficiency: Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks to manage the flow of dirty dishes and ensure that clean dishes are available for service in a timely manner.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and support colleagues during busy service periods, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to perform various tasks as needed, including assisting with kitchen cleanup, organizing supplies, and handling other duties to support kitchen operations.
- Communication: Basic communication skills to effectively communicate with kitchen staff and management, follow instructions, and coordinate workflow as needed.
- Food Safety Awareness: Understanding of basic food safety and sanitation principles to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dishwashing area and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role .
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, based on the restaurant's operating hours and scheduling needs.
