Studio Manager in Training (SMIT)The Studio Manager in Training (SMIT) is a leadership development role designed to prepare high-potential Team Members for future Studio Manager opportunities within Gloloft. Working alongside studio and company leadership, you will gain hands-on experience in operations, team development, sales performance, guest experience, and business management while building the skills needed to lead a successful studio.

Your Day-to-Day
As a Studio Manager in Training, you'll work alongside Studio Managers and leadership teams to support daily operations, develop team members, drive sales performance, and create exceptional guest experiences. You'll gain exposure to all aspects of running a successful studio, including coaching, guest service, operational management, performance tracking, and team leadership. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy working with people, and are excited to grow into a future Studio Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership Development
- Learn and demonstrate Gloloft's leadership standards and culture.
- Partner with Studio Managers and leadership teams to develop management skills.
- Support coaching, accountability, and team motivation.
- Lead by example through professionalism and exceptional guest service.
- Participate in leadership meetings, training, and development opportunities.
Operational Training
- Gain hands-on experience with daily studio operations and administrative tasks.
- Assist with scheduling, staffing support, and studio utilization.
- Learn inventory management and supply ordering processes.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Support opening and closing procedures and operational efficiency.
Service Excellence
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through personalized service.
- Perform airbrush tanning services as needed.
- Assist with resolving client concerns professionally and effectively.
- Uphold all Gloloft service standards and brand expectations.
Sales & Performance Development
- Learn studio sales goals, membership performance, and key business metrics.
- Support membership sales and client consultation efforts.
- Drive client retention, engagement, and service recommendations.
- Assist with analyzing performance trends and achieving studio goals.
Culture & Team Support
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-energy studio environment.
- Encourage teamwork, communication, and accountability.
- Maintain a polished and welcoming studio atmosphere.
- Demonstrate adaptability and readiness for increased leadership responsibilities.
