Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contracted Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in Orono, ME, supporting a K-12 school district during the Extended School Year (ESY) summer program in July. This role offers a part-time schedule, providing therapy services two days per week with flexible day selection within a Tuesday to Thursday window, focusing on morning hours.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students across the K-12 spectrum.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement therapy goals.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to creating a supportive educational environment.
- Ensure compliance with program guidelines during the ESY period.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational settings and developmental milestones.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently within a contract framework.
- Availability for morning hours during July.
