Job Title: Machine Shop Foreman
Job Description
Join our team as a Machinist in a dynamic machine shop that specializes in custom precision parts. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee manufacturing tasks and manage a team, while also contributing to the growth of the company and its employees.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all manufacturing tasks.
- Manage employees and make final decisions as needed.
- Work directly with customers and vendors.
- Manage production and maintenance schedules.
- Assist in quoting and solve machining and programming challenges.
- Manage tooling inventory and work with shop lead to design and improve internal processes.
- Help research and weigh in on new equipment purchases.
- Work on a team with shop owners to drive the company towards goals.
- Help employees produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating 3 and 5-axis CNC Mills.
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Program mills using MasterCAM, including calculating requirements and proving part programs.
- Set up mills and lathes and verify settings by measuring positions.
- Maintain specifications by observing various operations and adhering to quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain safe operations and equipment by following safety procedures and completing preventive maintenance.
Essential Skills
- Experience with 5-axis mills with Fanuc controls and MasterCAM.
- Management experience and programming CNC (5-axis).
- Supervisory skills and CNC setup experience.
- Troubleshooting skills.

- Verbal communication and functional and technical skills.
- Controls and instrumentation, supply management, tooling, coordination, and inventory control.

Work Environment
The work environment is a standard machine shop setting, with metal and plastic shavings, coolants, and other chemicals used on machines. The work is conducted indoors, without climate control.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of NEW HOLLAND, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
The company offers 401k, medical benefits, and PTO. Vacation increases with tenure.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in NEW HOLLAND,PA.
