Emergency Medicine Physician

Our organization is currently seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at the Shreveport facility. Nestled along the Red River in northwest Louisiana, Shreveport is part of the ‘Ark-La-Tex’ region, where Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas converge. Here, you can experience a delightful blend of Cajun culture and the Lone Star spirit, being just a short drive from Texas. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic, collaborative, and dedicated to providing exceptional care to our Veterans. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality medical services while honoring those who have served our country.

Key Features of the Role:

  • Attractive Starting Salary: $335,000 - $340,000 annually

  • Flexible Work Schedule

  • Conduct thorough medical screenings for all patients arriving at the Emergency Department.

  • Exhibit the ability to identify the need for prompt consultations, admissions, and specialized care.

  • Ensure continuity of care by effectively transferring patient information to other physicians.

  • Accurately assess and interpret clinical data to establish diagnoses and evaluate clinical conditions.

  • Identify changes in patient behavior, symptoms, and other relevant information, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

  • Respond swiftly to emergency situations and implement appropriate corrective measures.

  • Maintain precise, up-to-date clinical documentation.

  • Completion of residency training or equivalent experience is required.

  • Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, a full and unrestricted license to practice Podiatry in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.

  • A degree in podiatric medicine or its equivalent from an accredited institution recognized by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs is necessary.

  • Preferred Qualifications: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Emergency Room/Department or equivalent residency training. Board eligibility/certification in the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine is desirable.

What We Provide:

  • Consistent work schedules with an emphasis on quality care over quantity.

  • Annual performance bonuses of up to $15,000.

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance.

  • Liability protection with malpractice coverage, including tail coverage.

  • 26 days of paid vacation, 13 days of paid sick leave with unlimited carryover, and 11 paid holidays each year.

  • Participation in a Federal Retirement Plan.

  • A separate 401K plan with partial agency matching contributions.

  • Potential reimbursement of up to $1,000 annually for Continuing Medical Education (CME) expenses (must be full-time with board certification).
