Job Description

Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role involves providing speech-language pathology assistance services to students within a school setting in San Antonio, TX. The position requires active Texas SLPA licensure and offers an opportunity to work across two campuses: a high school and a middle school. Services will be delivered primarily on-site, with a scheduled 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include supporting students across grades 6 to 12, including both general and bilingual populations. At the high school, the caseload consists of approximately 70 students (grades 9-12), with therapy sessions held three days per week. The middle school caseload includes about 40 students (grades 6-9), serviced two days per week. Bilingual Spanish skills are preferred but not mandatory; note that monolingual candidates will not work with bilingual students. Therapy sessions at times may be less frequent, resulting in fewer therapy minutes than the caseload size alone might suggest.

Candidates should hold a valid Texas SLPA license and be prepared to complete district-specific credentialing requirements upon hiring. Experience levels from entry to advanced are welcome, with a competitive pay range reflecting years of experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLPA license
  • Experience working in school settings preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish skills preferred but not required
  • Ability to provide services to students in grades 6-12
  • Availability for a 40-hour on-site work week
  • Willingness to complete district credentialing forms post-offer

This full-time contract position offers the chance to support diverse student populations in two school environments. If you meet the qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, consider applying to contribute to student success through speech-language pathology services.
