Crusher-Equipment Operator | In this role you will…
Be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining rock, gravel, or material crushers in a safe and efficient manner. This role ensures materials are sized correctly for production requirements while maintaining strict safety and equipment standards.
- Operate rock crushers, conveyors, screens, and related equipment.
- Adjust crusher settings to achieve required material size and production output.
- Monitor equipment performance and make basic on-the-spot adjustments.
- Load or feed materials into the crusher using loaders, excavators, or other machinery (if applicable).
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
- Inspect equipment daily and report hazards, malfunctions, or needed repairs.
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas around the crushing plant.
- Perform routine lubrication, cleaning, and minor maintenance on crusher equipment.
- Assist maintenance staff with repairs and scheduled servicing.
- Identify wear parts and communicate replacement needs (belts, screens, jaw plates, etc.).
- Monitor material flow, gradation, and product quality.
- Communicate with supervisor or plant manager regarding production needs or issues.
- Record production data as required.
What we look for:
- High School Diploma / GED
- OSHA 30 Hour (Preferred)
- CPR / First Aid Training (Preferred)
- Previous experience working with heavy equipment or in aggregate
- Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details
- Problem Solving
- Understand demolition means and methods
- Flexible to help where needed
