At Cvent, our product design meets at the crossroads of empathy and technology, embracing the point of view of our users to create products that truly make an impact. Here, you’ll design new products and improve existing ones, taking ownership of your product area to help drive its vision.
As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll work on projects with the greatest impact to our customers. You’ll rally a team of product managers, developers, writers, researchers, and other stakeholders throughout complex, and sometimes technical, long-term projects.

What you’ll be doing
- Understand user problems and how our products solve them
- Understand the event management industry and Cvent’s business
- Explain how your designs impact company revenue or lowers risk
- Help envision, propose, and pitch new ideas and strategies and guide those projects to through to production
- Understand how your product area connects to the overall user journey
- Create design proposals and research plans with guidance and feedback from stakeholders
- Lead design thinking workshops, brainstorming sessions, and design critiques
- Proactively seek feedback and input from those involved in your projects
- Create a UX design brief with the goals and direction of each project
- Identify data and analytics trends to support your ideas and make design recommendations
- Visualize and communicate design solutions through information hierarchies, workflows, wireframes, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and functional annotations
- Be a storyteller as you present your work to team members, leadership, and stakeholders, explaining your design decisions
- Drive and advocate for User Experience throughout the organization
- Be a thought leader in the greater design community
What we’re looking for
- 4-6 years of professional experience in a Product Designer or UX Designer role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, UX Design, Product Design, or a related field
- Design experience with a significant focus on software applications
- Experience in Mobile design (pure native or react-native (or similar)
- White labeling (applying different themes/brands)
- Understanding of accessibility standards
- Ability to lead projects from discovery to delivery
- A portfolio that shows off your design skills and design thinking for each project
- Expertise in professional design and prototyping tools
- Facilitation skills and articulating design decisions
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS (bonus points for front-end coding experience)
- Expert understanding of design systems and accessibility beyond the UI
- Someone who can lead and mentor junior designers on design and presentation skills
- Situational adaptability and emotional intelligence
- A designer who can work alone and with others, managing both personal and project timelines
- Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Confidence to take criticism productively and defend your designs when necessary
- Ability to see the big picture, but also pay attention to the details
