Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference in students’ lives by providing expert occupational therapy services in an educational setting just outside Los Angeles, CA. This full-time, on-site opportunity focuses on supporting K-12 students across varied assignments, with case loads and school locations determined by placement.
Your qualifications should include:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience or fieldwork in school-based therapy or education settings
- Solid understanding of educational terminology, IEP process, and standardized assessments
- Familiarity with the Special Education process and related documentation
- Proficiency with CDE guidelines for OTs (review available resources for school-based practice standards)
- Ability to work independently and on itinerant assignments as needed
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to a K-12 population
- Collaborate closely with educators and special education teams to develop and implement IEP goals
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services, adjusting approaches to diverse needs across multiple campuses
- Document progress, interventions, and services in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Travel between schools within your assignment as necessary and communicate effectively with both staff and families
- Adapt strategies and techniques to help students achieve their academic and functional goals in a school-based environment
This is a contract position with a start date of August 11, 2026, ending June 4, 2027. Location assignments are determined by district needs, with opportunities to indicate your residential area to assist with placement.
